Acceptance
Those who participate naked in BARE-2-BREAKERS for the first time usually comment on how surprised they are about the overwhelming support from the spectators and other runners. BARE-2-B'ers find thousands of people cheering them on. At most, only one or two negative comments (if any) might be heard by any nude participant during an entire run.
As might be expected, out of the tens of thousands of participants, whether they be spectators or runners, there will inevitably be a negative commentator. Although we do not wish to offend anyone's personal senses, our demonstration is meant to challenge the traditional belief system by the actual artistic expression of the nude body.
"The privacy interests of the residents of this neighborhood who can advert their eyes
cannot outweigh the rights of others to exercise their First Amendment right to artistic expression."
